As a documentary the analysis is relatively critical while still paying homage - milestones are investigated, such as Syd Barrett's withdrawal from the band and replacement by Dave Gilmour, but also good discussion on their more obscure releases such as Atom Heart Mother and Umagumma; their breakthrough with Meddle; interesting background on the making of Dark Side of the Moon; leading up inevitably to The Wall.
The book introduces each of the albums with general background information, then track-by-track analysis. Very nicely packaged, a good look at the very influential band.
